![]() ![]() I know this film won't be too everyone's taste and if you haven't ever enjoyed a musical and you don't especially like The Proclaimers, then it's probably not going to be your thing, but as a musical that delivers on a heartfelt fun story, with good performances, there is so much to enjoy I cannot find fault in it.Author by: Celal Akdeniz Languange: en Publisher by: Springer Format Available: PDF, ePub, Mobi Total Read: 72 Total Download: 155 File Size: 55,7 Mb Description: This book offers an accessible, practical and engaging guide that provides sample instructional activities supported by theoretical background information, with a focus on the nature of the instructional process in relation to several variables. ![]() The rest of the well rounded cast fill out all their roles brilliantly (Jane Horrocks and Peter Mullan make a lovely couple here)and even Freya Mavor is great in the less interesting role. Antonia Thomas is the strongest, charming her way through the film with a dynamite presence while the two lads George McKay (very good in Defiance and ever stronger here) and Kevin Guthrie are both actors I would cast in a heartbeat. Although top of the acting plaudits must surely go to Jason Flemyng for his all singing all dancing curator he totally steals the film and must surely be the UK's most under-rated actor by the critics, but not so in the industry, shouts must go out too, to the four young leads. I knew nothing about the film before watching it and I am NOT a massive fan of musicals on screen, with the exception of Bugsy Malone (Which Dexter was also in) and Once, not very many of them transfer to well to the big screen, but here the film rolls rather seamlessly from the dialogue to the musical numbers, once you accept that's what you're watching and just go along for the ride. ![]() Having seen Dexter Fletcher's first film, Wild Bill, this is a real departure and its good that he perhaps did something people did not expect for this second Movie. Thrown in among the mix are a daughter from the fathers past, and a singing museum curator who totally steals the show. One is hoping to settle down with his long term girlfriend, the other isn't too sure what he wants. Based on the musical play of the same name, two boys come home to Leith, Edinborugh in Scotland from the Middle East. Keeping this review on point, I will review the film for what it is not for what it is not. ![]()
